For this work, I was interested in understanding how computer code is used to create representations of ourselves, and how these representations can be distorted when the encoded information is manipulated and disrupted. By altering the raw code of digital self‑portraits, I could subvert the software and create representations of my own. This process allowed me to become actively involved in the control of my own digital image, rather than passively accepting the programmed functions of the software.
